A few notes. There are materials designed to be good water barriers, and materials that are good "gas" barriers, and, no, they're not the same. Not quite so. French GBDs were made in Paris, as well as St. Claude, until 1952, at which time the Paris factory closed. That Pierrot is as cool as cucumbers in the snow. As for the other, it's an Original, a London marked pipe, not the Paris-made Originale, so there isn't an inconsistency... -
