    Peterson System Giant - Massive!

Mark's Peterson Pipe Notes featured a massive Peterson System this AM, from 1907. This is the largest Peterson I've seen. https://petersonpipenotes.org/451-the-system-giant-a-look-at-jonathan-guts-patent-fomorian/

I love the Comoys 256 Author shape and have owned numerous examples and 2nd lines. This one was made for the Chicago based Marshall Field & Company. From the COM, I estimate somewhere from the 1950's to the merger in 1981. Full details and pictures are on the Reborn Pipes blog...

The Pipe Collector (NASPC Newsletter) -2025?

Has anyone rec'd a 2025 edition of The Pipe Collector? In the past 10 years, I've subscribed to the email PDF edition and printed it at my office. I opted for the mailed newsletter version this year. Typically there is a February edition and I was curious if anyone received that yet.

    Peterson 999 Pre-Republic Sterling Restore

This beauty belongs to forum member MJC. I typically don't do work beside pipes for my own collection, because I'm not a professional. He didn't want the worn nomenclature diminished any further, which was easy enough and I just love these early Petersons and in particular the 999 shape, so I...

    Comoy's Shape 5 Bulldog Restored

I completed another Comoy's pipe today, this one a Shape 5 Tradition, Large staight bulldog. Curiously, this one had the letter "F" in front of the 5. I've worked on several shape 5's before, but never saw this letter designation. Full details here on the Reborn Pipes blog...

Kicking off 2025 with a new thread. I watched one episode of "Say Nothing" - it is outstanding, 5/5 after Ep 1. It was highly recommended by Bob Leftzsez, whose recommendations are usually spot on.

New Orleans Pipe Club December Meeting

A small but passionate group this evening. My trip across the Causeway bridge was gratefully uneventful. It was shut down multiple times this week to accidents in fog, including one 40 plus car pile-up.

    Arlington National Cemetery

We're 1000 miles away from the Arlington National Cemetery but a friend of my brothers participated on the laying of Christmas wreathes. He took this picture at my father's grave site. It must be a little dusty down here, I was choked up for a few minutes. We're still waiting on a notice for...

    Peterson Hallmark ID

I think this is a "U" for 1985, it is on a Peterson Donegal Rocky 338 shape. But it's definitely not a slam-dunk. Thoughts? From the hallmark chart:

    Restoration Lot - Finished!

Member "Ryan" and I exchanged communication this summer about a lot of pipes that he wanted to have restored. I asked if he could hold off until September, so I could complete my move/home update. In September, he sent me a box of 26 pipes and another box of 11 for me to keep for the service...
