    UK Pipe Smokers....or Lack Thereof

Ah noooo.....I don't know one corner of a football from another I am afraid....The other less well known and less salubrious Newcastle is the one you are thinking of Newcastle upon Tyne even further up on the east coast (actually it's a great place but I ought to stick up for the local one ?)

    UK Pipe Smokers....or Lack Thereof

I am in the Staffordshire Moorlands (England) and rarely see another Pipesmoker in the wild. We have a shop in Newcastle under Lyme, the "Pipe Rack", which I use but like most people online convenience often trumps a visit there.....although even the online shops are generally fairly small...

    Tasty aromatics

I know what you mean exactly, I have the same view. I can recommend Connoisseurs Choice and especially Rattrays Bagpipers Dream. Petersons Special Cut is good but steer clear of Erinmore it smells and tastes of cigarettes to me....

    Rattray's Bagpipers Dream

I guess if there is a shortage it will be blamed on Brexit...... In the meantime I am getting to try some other options...... it will be great to smoke it again when it reappears though ??

    Rattray's Bagpipers Dream

Hi all, is it just me or is it now impossible to find tins of BD in the UK? it seems to have been out of stock everywhere I've looked for the last 4 or 5 months....

    James Upshall Estate Pipe

As I say, I am no expert, really I know nothing....but the markings on the ebay example are very different to mine - is it fake or is it an earlier example?

    James Upshall Estate Pipe

Thanks that's very helpful! I think I will give it a go - I might be a bit more cautious if it was an early one though!

    James Upshall Estate Pipe

Thanks I will take a look, I paid only £22 for it so it seemed a good buy, it is in good order but the stem certainly needs a polish and tidy up before I would want to light it up....

    James Upshall Estate Pipe

Thats a real shame! I have flicked through the various threads before posting, if there is anything on here already I have missed it - I read on pipepedia that the maker had died ?

    James Upshall Estate Pipe

I bought this estate pipe at auction just this week on a whim, I thought it would make a good case for a first go at restoration. On doing some research on getting it home, I find they appear to be quite desirable. I can't thought find out about this style or its value or rarity etc. I don't...
