To Snork or Not to Snork

I am in that boat or (pirate ship as it were) also Jay, I have to be careful, because I am prone to sinus problems. That being said, I will still snork quite a few times while smoking, for me it's the only real way to get all the flavor out of a blend. It has been since the mid 80's or so...

How to Break in a Brand New Pipe?

Even if Elvis has left the building... I am guilty of that as I delve deeper into the hobby. I think back to when I was in my 20's and far more destructive. I had a basket churchwarden and a falcon that I didn't care about at all, both were smoked heavily, hardly ever cleaned, not rested and...

    Favorite Bourbon Whiskey?

Granted this is a necrothread, but it's nice to see some whiskey drinkers after the long lasting thread about "why I quit drinking".. Like G.L. Pease said regarding Quit Nights, "The sophisticated flavors and exotic aroma provide a wonderful backdrop for quiet moments of reflection, a good...

    Bit of a Failure

That is a medico pipe filter. I like to have mine in the my favorite cob. I will replace it after 4 or 5 smokes. It shouldn't change the flavor, it is just paper. The draw can be a little tricky on cob pipes for beginners in my opinion since they are usually a very open draw. Here is another...

    Mule Deer

They used to eat everything in our yard when we lived in the foothills of the mountains in Utah. My father being an avid hunter used to wake me up to watch them in the middle of the night.

    Mule Deer

Are you positive that a squirrel isn't responsible? :puffpipe: Although I think a squirrel would be messier. I have never seen a mule deer eat a pumpkin though..

    Woodford Reserve Bourbon.

Woodford Reserve is a great bourbon. And pretty much any of the buffalo trace bourbons are pretty good IMHO, eagle rare being one of my favorites for sure. If you can get Weller, for the price I think it is a very good bourbon. Old Forrester bottled “in bond” if you have the extra money for...
