    Grabow Addict

I just smoked my Grabow Lark I bought on ebay for $15. It has the metal stinger and smokes very good. The clean up was easy, and the smoke is sweet! Easy draw too.

Stinger or not to stinger that is the question

Had my first smoke with the Lark today, all in all a good smoke. The draw was very easy and light even with the metal stinger (filter) installed. I enjoyed smoking this little pipe....

Stinger or not to stinger that is the question

Just received my Lark w/metal stinger. I gave it the alcohol and salt bath and cleaned it up for the first smoke latter today. This is my first "stinger" pipe, will let you know my thoughts on the subject. Anyone know what years the Lark was made w/ metal stinger? Got it on e-bay for $15.

Best way to clean an Estate pipe

I am receiving an estate pipe next week and plan to clean the cake some and give the bowl a salt/alcohol bath. Also, cleaning the stem inside and out with alcohol and buffing the stem slightly.

    Soaking a pipe?

I'll be getting my first estate pipe next week, it's a Grabow Lark. I plan to use the S/A method to clean the bowl of impurities after cleaning the cake down some. I also plan to sterilize the stem and clean it up before smoking. I'll let you know how it goes and post some before/after pics.

    Broke My Pipe

Joe, I noticed your broken pipe is square. You will be able to secure it in a small vice with pieces of wood on each side to protect the finish before clamping. Just be gentle with clamping so you don't crack it. The toughest part is getting the drill to go straight without the pipe moving. I...

    Broke My Pipe

I would attempt a home repair using a piece of hard plastic tubing (Home Depot)and drilling out both ends and gluing the replacement tenon in place. Since it's broke already and the cost of professional repair can't be justified. good luck

I have a question for everybody. Please answer

I would let him know that you smoke occasionally. Just like a glass of wine a day doesn't make you a drinker, neither would light pipe smoking.
