Fred,
That's one hell of a collection! I've only got two IMP meers, but I love them both. There are some different groups here, (Drug Store, Flake, etc.). If a meerschaum group were to form, you'd surely be the man to run it.
Igloo,
There's a pipe/cigar shop owner that I trust in my area who recommends Nordings and claims that a low end Nording will smoke with the best of 'em. (He also says good things about Design Berlin.)
In my pipe dreams, I've told myself that something from the same line as your new pipe would...
I thought she was a lot better looking on her sitcom than when she had the "Whoever's In New England" and "Fancy" videos. That's probably around a 15 year difference that worked out in her favor big time.
I'd feel pretty bad if she Googled her name and read the lecherous stuff that's been said here. It's back to the cellar with all that talk.
"Those pipe smoking freaks!"
On the clean side of things, it looks like they've got Sam Gawith and G&H in stock, judging from the bags and boxes in one of...
I'm still young enough that it wouldn't be unacceptable.
If the eyebrow correlation is true, I consider it a good sign that she hasn't shaved them off.
It's "Earth Hour" all night, every night in North Korea. Who'd a thunk 'Lil Kim is so environmentally conscious?
What you have planned falls in line with the Competitive Enterprise Institute's Human Achievement Hour celebration.
Story from Cato Institute
The story is from the Cato Institute...
In the new U.S.S.R.A., you do not smoke pipe, pipe smokes you.
I call bullshit on the claims of the smoke seeping through the floors & walls upstairs. If that's really an issue, the landlord is renting a poorly constructed building.
Either the tenants are full of it, the landlord is, or they've...
An obscenely talented carver from the Ukraine is Konstantin Shekita. Both of these pipes are $500 (one is sold). Compared to some of the stuff I've seen priced much higher, these are definitely underrated.
Sorry the pictures are enormous.
I don't do Outlook either, but if you right-click on the e-mail link, you can use "Copy E-mail Address" and paste it into the address field of an outgoing e-mail.
This is his address:
jackpete@sbcglobal.net
You might be able to write and tell him to disregard the snail mail if you want to.
Arthur,
Did you dry the Tavern Blend out any before you smoked it? I did for a while on the back porch in the breeze and then under a light bulb until it was just right.
For a smoke that didn't gurgle any, I was surprised at how much tar was left behind when I cleaned my pipe.
A tasty smoke all...
Most likely. A lot of blenders will just throw scraps from different blends together and sell it at a discount. Mars Cigars and P&C sell blends like that. One of them even offers the choice of aromatic or straight.
Hi Bill,
I recognize your name from alt.smokers.pipes. I've never posted there but I do lurk using my RSS reader.
I think you'll like it here and hope you enjoy it.
I'm about to do the same. I smoked the inaugural bowl outside yesterday and don't think I got the full effect. (It was in a cob and I used the plastic stem without a filter. I haven't quite mastered the whole MM thing yet.)
While I wasn't able to assess the room note since I was outdoors, I know...
Do you remember some past skepticism on my part?
Some of the reviews are outrageous and frou-frou. When I go there looking for information, the ones I pay attention to are the ones with the highest star rating. If they don't mince words too much, I'll put value in their review. Then it's on to...
It just recently resurfaced. It's not the Bull Durham of old that was chipped cut and in the drawstring sack.
Now it's more or less an RYO cut that's in a plastic bag that claims to be pipe tobacco.
The cigarettes I smoked of it were pretty one dimensional, though high in vitamin N.
