    Return it. I don't think you will be happy with it no matter what the outcome of the fix, it will always gnaw at the back of your mind. Myself, I would do the ash and honey and smoke on.

    As already stated, those are definitely only 10ish. Until the late 1990's/early 2000's, James B Russell of New Jersey was importer and the label paper was a matte finish with large printing. The tobacco was McConnell's into the 1990's, but some of the last JBR was K&K with a made in Germany...

    I purchase mostly from Mark T. Wendell of Boston. Always black, and usually one of: Hu Kwa (light, Formosan Lapsang), Lapsang Souchong, Scottish Breakfast, Cheericup Ceylon and Russian Caravan. I also like Yorkshire, Taylor and Twinnings. Scottish Breakfast or Russian Caravan is my usual tea...

    So, I've Been Using Lambs Navy Rum to Clean...

    I use Everclear unless there is a is a cheaper 190 proof grain alcohol available. I have used overproof rum if I was out of Everclear. It left a slight rum taste for a smoke or two....but I like rum tobaccos so it was a win.

    How Much Tobacco You Buy on Each Order

    Mostly in the $100-125 range. I think the most I've spent in one order was $475 when McClelland announced they were shutting their doors.
