I'm Smoking Glue In My Pipe.
Call they wiil send you a new one asap. Its a type of vegetable glue they say it wont hurt you but who wants to smoke a crappy pipe. -
Smell Transfer?
O.K. I Bought an estate pipe some time ago I reamed it down to the wood and cleaned it for days including the salt cleanse. Since the day I got it it had a very sweet smell It even transfers to your hand and kind of sticks in there to what the heck is it and how do I rid myself of its evilness. -

They make a insert for a zippo that takes butane best invention ever( I do realize that the original post is 2mths old and this advice probably little relevance if that person is still around) I hope that someone else can use this info and through that blasted nasty liquid messy fuel away forever.- jship079

Amazon sells a array of jewelers rouges that is used for buffing and polishing they also have carnuba, buffing wheels some times.
