What was your first blend and is it part of your current rotation?

1-Q was my first tobacco. BCA was my second. I still have some 1-Q jarred in my cellar, but BCA is in my permanent rotation.

    Thoughts On STG

I imagine STG will look at their entire portfolio.

    Thoughts On STG

Thanks!!! Source Images This was a lot easier when Cellar Labels (community.cellarlabels.com) was active. The site has been "down for maintenance" for about a year now. Hope doesn't spring eternal for a revival. One user at Badger and Blade dumped his stash here, and it's better than nothing...

    Thoughts On STG

This thread stresses me out. I'm going to set my Sutliff on fire.

    Thoughts On STG

We're over here now? I love this thread. I usually do my best and own a job that I get into. But I've gotten myself into some hopeless soul-crushing gigs that made me reconsider a career in arson. We made industrial heaters, and I had one customer from the oil and gas industry call me...

    Thoughts On STG

Arango, Bengal Slices, and Hearth and Home. And I'm worried they're going to screw up Lane again like after they closed the Tucker plant. Yep. Jeremy McKenna set up his own Latakia operation when the Syrian Latakia market collapsed. I found a couple articles that reference each other...

    Thoughts On STG

100% Even if they use the exact same recipe with the exact same leaf, and put it in the exact same tin with the exact same name and art, it will be produced in a different shop in a different part of the world by different hands. I'm not that worried about Sutliff and MacB in and of itself...

    Is There A Real Difference.

I have around 20 pipes in my rotation. Three are dedicated, and the others are a free-for-all for whatever. I often won't choose the pipe or tobacco until I stand at my pipe drawer loading a pipe. I choose by bowl size and my current vibe. Quality, price, and rarity of my pipe are not often...

    TAD Acquisitions 2024

Just jarred up a pound of Hearth and Home - Ten to Midnight. It's a crumbly blend, but I got a picture of these nice slices before I filled my jars.

    Your Own "Worst" Tobacco

Autumn Evening, smoked in my Peterson 314, was so bad it gave me PAD. I hated it at first smoke, but I tried to at least understand it for half a bowl. Wasn't happening. I dumped it and scrubbed my pipe, but no matter what I did, everything I smoked after that half bowl tasted like...

***What Are You Smoking, Nov. 2024?***

Lord help me; I had to go to TWO Targets on Black Friday. But at least it's time for the Christmas pipes.

Update on the STG Closure Of Sutliff and Mac Baren

For real! I am reconciling my spreadsheet and have concluded that this hobby was really just buying tobacco.

***What Are You Smoking, Nov. 2024?***

I've got two pouches that I bought just because I saw it. I've stuck them both in carbonite mylar, mostly so they stop permeating the rest of my cellar. That said, I've been thinking about breaking it out and desecrating a new cob.

That's the blackest pipe I've ever seen.

***What Are You Smoking, Nov. 2024?***

500th post! Celebrating this milestone with some 5-year-old BCA in the namesake Peterson 314. This was my first pipe and is still one of my favorite smokes. Cheers!

Update on the STG Closure Of Sutliff and Mac Baren

I just bought a decade's worth of Bengal Slices. Thank you for the chance.

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

This tin art should be in a museum.
