    SmokingPipes Site Redesign

The benefit of the Finders over the Filters was that the Finders started a new session, searching the entire catalog. The Filters only worked (and still do) on the active selection. So, to replicate the Finders, you have to start at the top with New Pipes -> All New Pipes, and then you can use...

    SmokingPipes Site Redesign

Where is the Pipe Finder?! What is Fresh? I don't understand this web design at all. At first, I thought the website didn't load correctly, and I reloaded it a bunch of times until I realized that the change was intentional. The margins and padding are off everywhere. The categories aren't...

Losing Flavor Halfway Through the Bowl

No one has yet mentioned tobacco moisture content. Water vapor is a byproduct of combustion, so your bottom-bowl leaves are going to be wetter than your top-bowl leaves. Try drying out your tobacco significantly. I have some KBV Noble Aztec that I've been playing with since December. I keep...

Farewell Sutliff Tobacco Company - Monday 3/4/25

Are we a community? Tostitos thinks I'm a party. Words are fluid. All I know is y'all are the only mfers who appreciate a photo like this. My silly wife can't see the value and wisdom of spending a car note on pipe tobacco just because "I already have enough for 3 lifetimes."

Is a Light, Soft, Fluffy Pipe Smoke That Doubles as a Cigarette Blend Better?

Same. I also clean my pipes between smokes because I really dislike stale tobacco flavors. @rakovsky, if you want to rawdog some Hertzogvenia Rustica, we'll give you 30 thumbs up on the WAYS thread. If you want a soft, fluffy cloud to smoke, I love BCA or other black cavendish. I don't inhale...

Is a Light, Soft, Fluffy Pipe Smoke That Doubles as a Cigarette Blend Better?

@sablebrush52 "Better than what?" was my question, too. I don't inhale. Others do. I don't know a lot about Joseph Stalin's cigarettes, but I do know you will probably maximize your pipe-smoking experience by putting your tobacco in your bowl and smoking it the way you enjoy your tobacco.

Too Many Open Jars/Tins In Rotation?

Thanks! I love opening my pipe drawer and seeing all of my labels. I wrote a post about how I make them.

Too Many Open Jars/Tins In Rotation?

I, too, have Jar Acquisition Disorder. It's incurable. Here's a picture from when I thought I had a lot.

***What Are You Smoking, February 2025?***

Ken Byron's Noble Aztec (vanilla room perfume) in my Peterson Sherlock. This blend really shines once it's dried to a crisp.

    Pipe Styles for Different Tobacco

I have found that putting my tobacco into a pipe is much more effective than lighting the tin on fire.

What Happens When You Put the Pipe Down?

I only smoke when my wife and kids leave me alone for an hour. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make it a habit.
