Mildly Modified MM And Stress Test
So I have this basic MM Legend Rob Roy I have been breaking in. I have a number of cobs I smoke, and got to thinking "How hard are these cobs?". I can spare this one! They never sit upright and fall back on the stem, " Maybe I could add a little slant to them bottom..." kinda like a poker...- J.GANDY

Natural vs Polished MM Cob
I have noticed this myself. It is not that they don't get warm, they do. But it does cool off quickly, the polished/coated seems to hold the heat a little longer. -

What Are The Physics Of "Thick Wall = Cool Smoke"?
As we see here in the first diagram, it seems that yer valve gear is intrudin' on yer sand pipes and the steam- powered whistle done fogged up the cab windows. Which is causin' excessive heat in yer chimney.- J.GANDY
