What is Appealing about Pipe Smoking?

I smoke a pipe because the voices in my head tell me to.

    Which Tobacco after Which Meal?

HH Old Dark Fired, Peterson University Flake, or Peterson Sherlock Holmes would be my most likely choice after a meal because those are the three blends I smoke most often.

The nickel mount marks were not used after 1963, I believe.

According to SP.com, the mount is vulcanite as well. They had one at one time, a 120, but knew nothing about it.

    Peterson Military V.P.B.

Does anyone know anything about this line? There is one Ebay right now ( a 406 listed as a 120 and apparently overpriced since no one has bought it) but I can't find anything about it online other than V.P.B. means Vulcanite Push Bit.

Occult Detectives Stories from the Pulps!

Never cared for loose women or car chases and I wear hats. Probably the reason I prefer unrealistic genres is because reality is so depressing these days.

Occult Detectives Stories from the Pulps!

Fighters of Fear: Occult Detective Stories edited by Mike Ashley is a good starting point. Contains stories from both past and modern authors. As for cross-overs, I really enjoyed Sherlock Holmes and the Occult Detectives edited by John Grant. A wonderful four volume set, in my opinion.

    Birth Year Pipe

Been looking for a 1919 forever. My maternal grandmother's birth year. We were very close. Found a BBB bulldog with a case on Ebay with a 1919 hallmark. Won it, then Ebay Global Shipping seized it. Did get my money back but point is if you find one on Ebay make sure it isn't being sent through...

Occult Detectives Stories from the Pulps!

I will have to take a look at those.

Occult Detectives Stories from the Pulps!

G-8 and his Battle Aces are my favorite in the hero genre. World War I pilots, horror, and science fiction all rolled into one.

Occult Detectives Stories from the Pulps!

Was just sitting smoking a bowl of KBV Mycroft and thinking I need to try the KBV blend The Patience of Dr. Silence next. Dr. John Silence was an occult detective that appeared in six short stories by Algernon Blackwood. Silence was just one of many occult detectives that appeared in pulp...
