Straight VA's - Wine Flavor
Maybe others have discovered this before. I notice that at the end of a bowl of VA especially a flake I get a distinct red wine flavor. Usually at this point in a bowl I experience that ashy taste and I dump it out. Could VA ash contribute to the red wine flavor? I think it does. I enjoy it...- maineyachtie

What Are You Smoking? April 2012
Peterson Irish Flake, Stanwell Blasted Volcano. This pipe is now dedicated to Virginia Flakes. I always had trouble with ribbon VA's in it before. The bowl wall is very thin and it would overheat. An un-rubbed flake, smoked slowly stays nice and cool though.- maineyachtie
