Twenty One Years Ago This Would Have Been Impossible

Http so simple, so great. It's what what made the web what it is today. I have to admit computers and the web in 20 years scares me a little bit... people my age (I'm a young guy only 25) Facebook and tweet everything. No privacy at all. I don't Facebook or tweet, just stick to 3 old-school...

    B&M TAD

I can see how it would ghost like crazy. I put it a cob, and after my third bowl I'm not so sure I like Lakelands a lot, I don't mind the strong tobacco at all, I will probably jar the rest and only pull out a flake when the mood strikes. Has anyone had experience aging 1792? I imagine the...

    B&M TAD

I'm hoping that I can make it last a year I'm drying to build up a cellar before it gets to expensive. That and I'd like to age son of these tins for a while. I'm trying to build a stock of the old dark fired because I think it just great, creative yet to try the university flake but I've...

    Draft Hole Too Small

Glad you can get a cleanser through it, if the draw is still to tight then go with what the old Cajun said. I did it with one of my pipes that had a saddle bit and it worked great, draws much better now.

    Stinger Cleaning

I personally cleaned the stinger from my pipe by removing it and throwing it away. If the stinger removes moisture from the smoke inside the pipe, before the smoke leaves the pipe then the moisture is still in the pipe. Briar doesn't like being wet and if you you can't clean it before it cools...

Will I Have to Give Up the Pipe?

it's getting bad and fast, but most people don't see it. There is no place to go without some sort of tyrannical government, no new frontiers to go after. If you do leave the country you have to prove the it's that you are not doing it for tax evasion purposes, and if you retain your...

Holy Crap I Have 17 Pipes!

I've picked up five pipes since the beginning of the month. I'm trying to concentrate on the cellar though, tobacco will never be as cheap as it is today, and if there are large tax hikes'm or something else that pushes people from the hobby I suspect a lot of them will be selling off pipes and...

    Stay With the Stinger?

I don't really see it possible for a stinger to act as a heat sink like in a computer, at least after the first couple of puffs. There is nowhere for the heat to go, in a computer the heatsink pulls the heat from the chip so it can easily be dissipated by the fan or the surrounding air. A...

Will I Have to Give Up the Pipe?

I plan on growing my own soon, and trying to make my own blends, if the government decides to let us keep our freedom, then I have a new hobby, if they try to get rid of it by making it UN as affordable for the common man then I will have it anyway. If they try to make it illegal to grow I...

    Storing Carter Hall

I tend to jar everything that I open, maybe it's just me but it seems better to have it sealed up in several glass jars and not have to worry about humidity or anything else. It's flexible because you can always leave the jars unopened for years if you go on a tin binge or whatnot. Just my $0.02
