    Alcohol & Tongue Bite

The alcohol might make your tongue more vulnerable, but it could also be that it makes you relax and not pay attention to cadence.

    10 yr Old Tin.....of Virginia

Mac Baren Virginia no1 or Mac Baren Virginia Flake. Probably the flake.

    Naming your Pipes?

I would give my pipes super pompous names if it was me, like Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, The Duke of Marlborough and such. No fun in Stan or Cindy.

Does Having a Lot of a Blend Make You Smoke More or Less of It?

I tend to cellar most of the blends I already smoke the most of.

"Get My Wife's Name Out Of Your Mouth!"

Superfamous superrich instaclick addicts wanting even more attention than they already have. It's an act.

Will Pipe Smoking Ever be Mainstream Again?

No. It might become "cool" though.

    What Blend do You Hate?

Some time ago I purchased one tin of each of the three Nørding blends, Seaweed, Tumbleweed and one more, the name eludes me. I have smoked a few bowls of the two named above and they are fucking disgusting!

    Recommend a Blend

Here are some: Peterson Irish Flake, Samuel Gawith Lakeland Dark, Samuel Gawith 1792 Flake. All of these are strong, burley forward blends. Irish Flake has a little topping, 1792 Flake has more, Lakeland Dark absolutely none.

    R.I.P. William Hurt

I had forgotten about that. As I recall it is a very New York kind of film. Charming.

Strange Beasts etc. In 1682 Ethiopia.

Great buy, man. Those illustrations are funny, but I'm actually surprised that it's fairly obvious what they are depicting. They are way better than what the medieval monks were putting out 3-400 years earlier. The Prester John myth was really important. They kept believing it for hundreds of...

    R.I.P. William Hurt

A great actor and not very old, sadly.

    Carrots

I did not know this. I'm a little shaken. What about grass? Did that also use to be white and purple?

    Hint of Ammonia?

Finally a bad habit that I don't have!

    Hint of Ammonia?

I've not tasted ammonia in a pipe yet, but I find Mac Baren's Navy Flake has some very nutty burleys that tend to go sour towards the end of the bowl.

    Your Favorite Straight Virginia

Capstan Blue Flake. It has a certain something that none of the other blends have. A kind of subtle, dry sweetness, more marzipan than fruit, but subtle.

    Dumping The Duds

If a pipe doesn't work properly it belongs in the thrash. Selling such pipes is fraud.

    Anyone Seen Brobs Around Recently?

I've been under attack from him and it wasn't pleasant, although not nearly as nasty as some other members have experienced. I have found him entertaining as well, but some of the attacks he has made on people have been so perfidious that in the end I just couldn't stand him. If you are kind...

    McConnell Red Virginia

It tastes like there is a raspberry essence or something like that in it. I did not care much for it.
