    Tongue and Tasting

Could someone explain retrohaling? First I’m hearing of it.

    My Collection

Thanks very much. Everyone seems to love this Gepetto! I do think it’s a gorgeous pipe but I’m a little surprised. It is probably one of the best smokers of the group, especially for packing a full bowl.

Thank you! The Nording is stamped ACE

    Petersons!

At the store I have had to check every single one with a flashlight. Some are up to par for the price, but many are drilled worse than the basket pipes

    Paring Down...

Hmm.. interesting. I have my eye on a few Meerschams I like quite a bit! I also wonder about the gourd calabash ones.. do those smoke well? They are gorgeous I think but also a little large. If you light it inside and take it outside into sub-freezing weather, will it crack?

    Paring Down...

Pared down my collection a bit, getting rid of a Nording, a Peterson, and a long-stemmed Italian. Now every one of my guys is a winner! -2 Missouri Meerschams -Gepetto Bent Rhodesian -Castello KK Sea Rock -Molina Freehand/Horn -Caminetto "Super Moustache" Bent Egg -Nording Ace Horn I'm trying...

***What Are You Smoking, January 2022?***

A local latakia/english shredded blend "Top Drawer" in a Davidoff Special 400 as I get ready for work.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2022?***

THIS is my favorite Peterson I have ever seen! How do you like it?

    Petersons!

Hey all! How about a thread about Petersons in general--everything we like, dislike, favorite pipes, favorite finishes, shapes, how they've changed over the years. There seem to be quite a few die-hard fans on here and I'd love to share the love! I have one Peterson myself, an army mounted 406...

    My New Jack Howell Bulldog

OH wow that is a stunning bulldog. The saddle stem is so beautiful! And the difference in carving of the top of the bowl and the rest of the pipe... *chef's kiss* And I apologize but I'm not in the know... who is Jack?

    Breaking in a Davidoff

Interesting! I will check mine again, not at home atm, but I believe mine is stamped 400s as well. The seller on their website has it listed as a Davidoff "DAV SPEC 400" and iirc my pipe is stamped Davidoff on one side and 400s on the other. Do you have any pictures of yours? I ought to post...

    Smoking Pipes Socially vs Cigars

I feel the same about the cigar clubs and lounges. There is a cigar shop near me that carries one or two pipes and a handful of pipe tobacco blends. I've gone there recently and purchased an oz of tobacco and sat and smoked a bowl while watching football with some other people. It was nice, but...

    Breaking in a Davidoff

Yeah this is my first panel billiard, I hadn't ever considered one before but was drawn to the stem and the grain, as well as the "hand-cut" stamping. So far it is smoking very nicely! I've looked around and I am one of like 5 threads on this site about Davidoff pipes, Davidoff tobacco and...

    Breaking in a Davidoff

What pipes do you generally smoke? I saw that picture yours are very nice, they look about the size of this one I'd say. I do generally prefer smaller pipes though.

How do you like yours? This is one of my very few sitters so I hope it smokes well :coffee:

    Breaking in a Davidoff

Hello all! I just added a Davidoff Special 400 to my collection--on sale for half off! It's hard to find information on this brand, but I couldn't resist the hexagonal hand-cut bowl. Still breaking it in at the moment, but I enjoy the draw so far and it is a good clencher, very light. Does...

Maybe one More… Then I Gotta go Home!

Do you have any briarworks pipes? I have looked at a few at my local store and none of them were really drilled in a way I like. Some excellent designs tho--I just wasn't sure how they would smoke.
