Thanks very much. Everyone seems to love this Gepetto! I do think it’s a gorgeous pipe but I’m a little surprised. It is probably one of the best smokers of the group, especially for packing a full bowl. -

At the store I have had to check every single one with a flashlight. Some are up to par for the price, but many are drilled worse than the basket pipes -

Hmm.. interesting. I have my eye on a few Meerschams I like quite a bit! I also wonder about the gourd calabash ones.. do those smoke well? They are gorgeous I think but also a little large. If you light it inside and take it outside into sub-freezing weather, will it crack? -

Interesting! I will check mine again, not at home atm, but I believe mine is stamped 400s as well. The seller on their website has it listed as a Davidoff "DAV SPEC 400" and iirc my pipe is stamped Davidoff on one side and 400s on the other. Do you have any pictures of yours? I ought to post... -
Smoking Pipes Socially vs Cigars
I feel the same about the cigar clubs and lounges. There is a cigar shop near me that carries one or two pipes and a handful of pipe tobacco blends. I've gone there recently and purchased an oz of tobacco and sat and smoked a bowl while watching football with some other people. It was nice, but...- goosetime

Do you have any briarworks pipes? I have looked at a few at my local store and none of them were really drilled in a way I like. Some excellent designs tho--I just wasn't sure how they would smoke.- goosetime
