Latest Top Picks from GL Pease

It was love at first smoke with Windjammer. It packs a punch and it’s a real kitchen sink blend. However, the blending is very well done: you can detect all of the components without much trouble, and they all complement each other. I agree with a previous poster who said it was a bit green...

Jim's C&D Sun Bear Navy Cask 2025 (Small Batch) Review.

    How much do you cellar?

Jim's C&D Sun Bear Navy Cask 2025 (Small Batch) Review.

I read the marketing materials like everyone else, and was thus fully aware it was only the honey that was treated. As for expectations, I’m not really sure what to expect.

Jim's C&D Sun Bear Navy Cask 2025 (Small Batch) Review.

Had it not been for the rum cask treatment, I probably would have passed. I still have a couple of tins of each year of release, so I guess I like SB, but don’t love it. I’m a sucker for rum anything, however, so I picked some up.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2025?***

Poolside cigars at my buddy’s house. He gave me one of these beauties. Smoooooooooth. Mild but very rich flavor, almost like milk chocolate. Hard to see in this photo, but they have a nice box press
