***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

Klondike Gold in a Peterson P-Lip Patent 1906 Dutch. I finished a long report I’ve been working on and off for about three weeks. Time to celebrate and tonight it’s Old Fashioneds.

What Is With Petersons Using P-Lips For All Their New Releases?

Taste? I also don’t like cobs. Yes, I have a few, but just like Peterson fishtails they are just weird. Speaking of taste, I also don’t like Danish freehand shapes. Wait, when did this become about me. Back to the P-lip the gift of class and elegance.

What Is With Petersons Using P-Lips For All Their New Releases?

This is a tangential line of thinking. The P-Lip is the greatest invention since gunpowder. Peterson fishtails were not designed for humans. They have the size and width of a tongue depressor. Maybe puffer fish enjoy them. I specifically look for Petersons with PLips. If they have...

Hamborger Veermaster in a 1914 Peterson Patent.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

Marlin Flake in a large Yellow Bole I was gifted. What a great pipe!! It has a faux P-Lip like most pipes that weren’t Peterson had.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

Having some Sea State Nitro Cold Brew while enjoying some fresh Marlin Flake. Another tobacco I’ve been enjoying with age so I thought I’d get some fresh Marlin Flake. It’s less rubbery and takes less than two weeks to dry out. lol. And I live in the desert. I have no idea how East Coasters...

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

It’s Peterson System Day. I’ll be doing and have been doing what I normally do, which is smoking a System pipe everyday. A wide variety in leaf in System pipes. These are all System 0 (Premiere) and I love them.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

Every time I smoke this 1911 Pete I love it more. I’m always grateful to Ryan Alden for all of his hard work on the restoration. Read about it here for a great view into the effort to save history. https://pipesmagazine.com/forums/threads/1911-1912-peterson-patent-calabash.90209/

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

GH & Co American Black Cherry in a Peterson 11fb PSB. I don’t dedicate pipes, but this pipe is dedicated to this blend. This pipe smokes great but was engineered by someone who either wasn’t very bright or was deliberately not very bright. It’s a sitter pipe, that can’t sit.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

Capstan Blue in a Pete Cobble 03. Perfect little pipe. Don’t get carried away. I’m not getting rid of my pre-Republic Petes

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

It’s a new day and a new month. I’m not complaining but today is my first day off since May. So I’m going shooting then I’m going to write reports. Who am I kidding, I’m self employed. I don’t take days off. lol. Former’s Bird’s Eye in a Pete B42 to get the day started.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2025?***

Opened a new tin of Capstan Blue, been so long since I’ve had fresh I thought I’d remind myself. Third bowl of it today. Still a favorite well aged, but fresh is very good. This bowl is in a 1922 Pete Deluxe

    Peterson B42 clencher?

B42 makes great clenches and truck pipes. I own 15 of them in all kinds of finishes and they just keep rolling. At first the weight is just odd because they are a tad heavier than a lightweight pipe, but they hang well. Also, a 303 and 317 are smaller and lighter, but a B42 has a larger...

    My pipe collection

This appears far too practical. Very nice collection Having said that. You’re not welcome here anymore UNLESS you abandon all common sense and just get hog wild with zero restraint. I said what I said.
