    Recommendations for Peterson Pipe (Larger):

317 is the smallest. It’s all uphill from there. Look into the 312 shape. A little bigger. The 314 is a trusted standby.

    Dragon-Phoenix Meerschaum Bowls

I hope I’m not ratting anyone out. I know for fact my favorite carver has turned meerschaum bowls for at least two pipes. I never thought about where the meerschaum was sourced from. It’s obviously out there in the wild.

***What Are You Smoking, October 2025?***

@xrundog inspired me to dig out this 1891 LB. Ryan Alden inserted a stainless tenon into the stem and a Delrin sleeve into the shank. He gave the pipe extended life. Genius workmanship. I’ll switch it up from this morning and smoke some Hal O The Wynd.

Capstan Blue in a large pre-republic Peterson Made in England (Rugby Style) Pub pipe is roughly the size. It’s a cool pipe because it’s a System, with Deluxe furniture. But the star of this morning is my new tamper. Did I need a new tamper, no. My favorite tamper is one gifted me by a forum...
