    I'm not crazy

Wow. I don't even own a cell phone. Hell, I still use a paper map when travelling. I wonder when the Macquarie Dictionary will come up with a word to describe ME? Well, besides the ones the wife already uses.

Cigar Smokers, Let's Get This Going Again!

"@maxpeters, that would require a big ass walk-in humidor all by itself. I hope they made that big bastard from reject leaf, what a waste of good stuff." Well, from what I understand, it sold for $185,000.00. Must be WONDERFUL stuff!

Cigar Smokers, Let's Get This Going Again!

How would you go about storing THIS cigar?

Cigar Smokers, Let's Get This Going Again!

In my experience, it's better to store them out of the cellophane wrapper if you have the right humidity and location to store them. Not all humidors will do that the way they're supposed to. If not, then keep them in the cellophane. They stay fresh a little longer.

Cigar Smokers, Let's Get This Going Again!

I think a cigar forum would be nice. I've never joined one though. I went through the costly trial and error phase years ago. My only problem with cigars is that they became way too pricey. I can't in good conscience enjoy something that cost me $ 5.00 to $10.00 each and every smoke. I can't...

    Who Made these Pipes?

Thanks for the tip sablebrush. I'll try to check on it a little further.

    Who Made these Pipes?

Can anyone tell me who made these pipes? They were purchased off Ebay about a year apart. I have had them now for several years, but have not been able to tell who made them. They say 20th Century on one side and Century Old Briar Italy on the other. The white one also says White Briar on the...

The Dirty Fact About Pipes That Tempt Me to Quit

You guys make me feel like like a pipe abuser. I never really have a set time or procedure to clean a pipe. If I haven't smoked it for a long while I might take it apart and check it, but otherwise I don't. After a smoke I just run a clean pipe cleaner or two through it and then loop them and...

    Ser Jacopo Pipes

Well, I looked over my Ser Jacopos with a magnifying glass, and could find no fills. I have read that Italian pipe makers were a little more forgiving in accepting tiny flaws, than say, the English. For instance I bought a Savinelli shape 225 dark stain last year from Cup O' Joes, and I just...

    Things Change

I used to prefer larger pipes myself. Like Dunhill size 6. Then after a few years I preferred a size 5. In the last few years, I have found that a size 4 suits me best now. My taste in shapes hasn't changed very much though. Yep, we all change a bit here and there over time.

    PMon Tore Me Up

Glad you survived the vet visit. Story of my own. Back in June I took my dog "Dutch" in to get his shots updated. That went alright, but I then asked if they could trim his nails, as I had tried that morning and he wouldn't be still enough. He's a med. sized dog, maybe 60 lbs. Part pit and...

    Edgeworth Sliced

According to what info. I just looked up, inhaling iron oxide ( rust ) can be dangerous to your lungs. Ingesting it can cause stomach irritation. As far as Edgeworth slices go, I tried a can years ago and found it stronger than I like. It was stronger than their Ready Rubbed I thought. You may...

    My BEST smoking pipe

Recently I read a post here that started "if I had a grand" pipe. I don't know which one I would buy if I did have a grand right now, but I don't think it could smoke any better than this old GBD Conquest Prehistoric. I have quite a few pipes, but out of all of them, this pipes smokes the best...

    Ser Jacopo Pipes

One of Italy's best pipes, I believe, are the Ser Jacopo brand. Started by Giancarlo Guidi and Bruto Sordini in 1982. These were purchased in the 1990's. They smoke as well as any of the best pipes that I have owned. Ser Jacopo Gemline Granato Ser Jacopo L2 straight grain
