I have one, and I think it's the lightest large bodied pipe I smoke! It's a cool smoker because of it's size and rusticated style... dissipates heat very nicely. English or Balkan blends for this pipe! -

I wouldn't get anything but a gourd pipe. Some of the imitation gourd and wooden body pipes I've seen are terrible, and I'll bet won't last long or absorb moisture. For the bowl, block meerschaum, although most makers use pressed meerschaum powder. Take your time and research. Save up some...- topd

I shaved with a disposable Bick for years because it was quick and easy, but since retiring in '06 I only shave about once a week unless I'm going out. Learned the hard way
Told this story before, but: Was walking from the Staff Club after a long evening, wind blowing real good. Had a good smoke going in a meerschaum and it got to hot. My pipe cracked/exploded in my face. Set my mustache on fire and made me puke all that good beer! I was only 24 and didn't know...- topd

Another Long Lost Pipe
Ha! Sorry Guys! I'm really not that absent-minded. But I smoke all day and take several pipes with me when I go out. I have learned to keep better inventory though. I use a paper plate basket on the dash instead of throwing them on the seat. -
