Smoked My First Barling's
Got an old Barling's Make "Ye Olde Wood" for a sweet deal yesterday. After an easy clean up last night...I had my first smoke today and it definitely lived up to the hype. This will now be in my regular rotation. Happy Holiday's all. -

Nice find! Looking forward to seeing the complete restoration. I have a MasterCraft with a similar finish they call "Satin". Not sure if it is the same but looks close. -

Question to Those Who Have Had Pipe Commissions Done
I commissioned a pipe and sent a pic to the carver of the shape I liked best along with my price range. The price determined the level of grain quality in my case. I did not want to spend too much so I got a lower quality grain...but...the pipe was exactly what I wanted and is one of my best... -

Barling's Make Question
Dave, they all have a splice...including all four of the Loewe Pipes. I assumed it was normal for the time period because all of the stampings on all the Loewe pipes go across the splice perfectly. In the ROVER picture the splice is through the center of the last R. Can anyone speak to the...- dixie
