Jeffrey…I have yet to spin the tires but I will make it happen this week.
Mcitinner1…the faded hallmarks are from Birmingham and are 1901 (thanks to forum member dmcmtk for helping me find that).
A few weeks back I shared a Peterson Patent bowl I picked up on the bay that needed a stem. Thanks to the amazing talent of Brian McNulty of Anima Pipes here is the Patent bowl with its new stem.
I am very pleased with Brian McNulty's work…A true professional and all around great person...
This is a fun one…Thanks Hawke!
Bottom is my average size pot...above that is my Willmer Light Weight, then a Barontini Lite and finally a Mini Meer. I especially love the Willmer…great little smoker.
Usually not very lucky on Craigslist but today I came across a nice collection, made contact with the seller…and...Here is what I got...from the top:
Comoy's Blue Riband 409
Brakner Antique Hand Cut 808
Soren Hand Carved
Karl Erik Ekstravagant A
SS…Since you posted this I went crazy looking for a pre-republic 9BC. I had no idea of its existence and my PAD senses went crazy! I came across this 9BC Supreme on the bay a few weeks ago and spent more than I wanted to…but…what a smoker! Now in my regular rotation and a favorite.
My small...
Thanks Dave! I found it now…appreciate the info.
SS…Got it off the Bay. It had an old WDC stem in it so it was mistakenly listed as a "Peterson WDC 2" but you could clearly see it said Patent. I figured it was an outside chance but i put in my max bid and was surprised to win it just over $100...
Picked up this Peterson's Patent? The Hallmark "b" appears to be from 1969? Can not find anything about a reproduction or Patent pipe in 1969. Anyone know if there were other hallmarks used other than what is listed for Peterson's? Do I have a real deal Patent or a reproduction? There is no COM...
Brian McNulty is still around and located in the Los Angeles area. He frequents the Santa Monica Tinder Box and still makes beautiful pipes. I do not think he has a website. PM me if you need his contact info.
Stanlaurel that is a beauty! Love the stain on that one.
I recently picked up this cool little Kaywoodie Flame Grain also with the drink less 4 hole stinger. It is marked with a 42C…I thought the C was reserved for the Collectors series? Anyone have any info on that?
I am all but cleaned out at this point. After about 8 weeks I have sold most. I have had the great pleasure of dealing with some wonderful forum members. I am away from home but will list some on the forums for sale when I return. It has been fun and I have learned a lot.
That is a sweet pipe and great deal...I know those DR's are not easy to come by. Congrats on a great find and a beautiful pipe with amazing grain. Please post when the restore is done!
