    Why are estate pipes ok?

I rarely put my mouth on a community toilet. Rarely.

    Why are estate pipes ok?

I would never judge someone for smoking an estate pipe, nor for digging their neighbors toothbrush out of the trash, giving it a good clean, and putting it right back into service! Also, I would not patronize a restaurant that reuses porous material utensils. That would be the reddest of all...

    Why are estate pipes ok?

It's like the yellow staining on an old man's mustache. Doesn't bother me if it's mine but I don't wanna touch yours.
  4. stoopidbaits

    Why are estate pipes ok?

As I've stated before, I've got Stoopid built right into my name, I'm not to be taken seriously.

    Why are estate pipes ok?

"Individual surface" is not a thing.
  6. stoopidbaits

    Why are estate pipes ok?

That's even worse than used pipes!

    Why are estate pipes ok?

Well having worked in quality and safety in the food manufacturing industry for many years, I can tell you there's a reason the USDA requires that I use stainless steel processing surfaces and not vulcanite or acrylic.

    Why are estate pipes ok?

Serious question and something I've never understood about the pipe community. And I understand the whole "90% of everything is crap" idea behind estate pipes being more reliable. That said, when I purchase something I'm going to be regularly placing in my mouth, someone else having already...

Smoking Sessions - Splitting up a bowl

Exactly this! Doesn't make sense to me, but a pipe half smoked and returned to later is actually sometimes better!!! A cigar half smoked and then returned to is disgusting every single time.

    New Pipe Tampers

Another round of tampers from the neighbor! Gonna have one for every day of the year before I know it!

    That Morning Smoke

Usually start the day with a red bull and a strong Nicaraguan cigar. While I'm smoking that I lay out a bowl of BurPer (dries quick) for my first bowl, and lay out some aromatics - like devil's holiday and Wallace Flake - that need a little more drying time before smoking.

Aromatics - I just need to accept it

I swore off aromatics in my previous pipe journey, but then I discovered Dan Tobacco. Some folks just know how to do it right.

H&H Marble Kake - Getting back to my well aged collection

Grabbed a pound of Burley kake as soon as I heard it might disappear, wish I'd gotten more. Love it but learning to smoke it sparingly.

Are we Really Losing That Much With the Closures of Mac Baren and Sutliff?

Interesting. Any idea if this is the same stuff p&c used to sell as "blending perique"?

Are we Really Losing That Much With the Closures of Mac Baren and Sutliff?

"It's worthwhile noting that, due to its length, this particular cut of the condiment leaf can be difficult to blend and shouldn't be used unless called for in specific recipes." That's one of the more bizarre notes I've seen on a blending tobacco.

Are we Really Losing That Much With the Closures of Mac Baren and Sutliff?

The granulated is OK, but possibly soaked in an alcohol maybe? And with the granulated cut it really performs incredibly different in a blend than blending perique. I haven't seen the c&d long cut version, any idea where they sell it?

    Show Us Your Falcons!

Got another custom rack made by my neighbor. Smaller, 2 pipe design with built in tampers, this one is in the mail to a newly converted Falcon enthusiast friend.
