    A Question About Haddos Delight

Haddo's is one of my favorites. Just jarred up another pound. The 16oz. is the way to go price wise and be ready for one huge pile of tobacco. It ages well as with all Pease and to be fair, most blends struggling to meet demands forced to use a lot of young leaf. I received a one year old tin...

Pipes and Cigars: Why the Hate?

Ouch guys. All H&H products, including bulk goes on sale at 20% off for all of December. It's their calendar sale. I only answered this thread because it was already at the top, and letting the Black House guys know in case they want to order more. Hopefully this thread will fall off fast. The...

    Favorite TV Shows

Favorites change as new episodes and shows air, I'm not into re-runs or shows that bring in well known actors for a cameo. Just finished with Ray Donavan, now it's Sons of Anarchy and Black List. A big fan of James Spader since Boston Legal.

    Re-Using Mason Jars...

If you're looking to move tobacco for long term storage a new lid is a must and very cheap. Never use soap or put it in the dishwasher, an unwanted film will remain. You'll get oil residue from prior tobacco. If its a jar that's remained open for even a short period of time, even a few days...

Warning: Fraudster on eBay Selling Counterfeit Eltangs, Possibly Castellos Etc.

Actually you can get people banned for counterfeit and even the sharks selling tobacco that's still available. But you have to go through a whole proving process that most people don't want to spend the time doing. On the tobacco the tin value has to be worth more than the tobacco that inside...

Warning: Fraudster on eBay Selling Counterfeit Eltangs, Possibly Castellos Etc.

Pipe collecting is becoming more and more popular. One of a kind sculpted pieces of art that increase in value. Pipe collecting by non-smokers makes the virgin pipes even more valuable. Like anything collectable, when it makes it to a value point worth the effort to make knock-offs, we can only...

Latest Commission- A Rad Davis Calabash

The classic Cumberland stem you love so much, and his awesome blasts. The man does that in 20 minutes, incredible. I've looked at so many of the "new" designs, he puts out fantastic pipes without getting into crazy shapes. No doubt these will be coveted collector pieces in the future from a...

    Sticky Tobacco

Put it on a plate and set under the hot sun for 4 hours. Turn it every once in a while and it will become a smoking tobacco. NO I'M ONLY JOKING, 1Q is a favorite of many aromatic smokers, a kind of entry level drug for the hobby. Heavily topped with syrup goodness it will start you down the line...

    Ziploc Bagging vs. Jarring

No emote for "cut my wrists". The time it takes to send someone a sample or get bulk in bag is already way to long! Can't believe this is even a debate. Craig

What Are You Getting Your Spouse for Christmas?

I'll want to do something cool like in the old days. But she has everything she wants. If she likes something she just goes and gets it, so after 30 years it's a bit hard. I was thinking of a gift certificate for P&C, but that will not go over well  So I'll probably go with my last...

Bah go right for the big boys! Samuel Gawith (SG)- Full Virginia Flake (FVF) and it's big brother Saint James Flake (SJF). They take a lot of extra work, but it's worth it. Cut your teeth on some Escudo its easy to pack and smoke. You'll find many threads on how to tackle the SG's :puffpipe: Craig

    Next (And Last?) Virginia

BBF will light up your life. I think the fumes from my shop are getting to me  Its like a creamy rich mellow smoke, great first bowl of the day. Will prepare you for whatever direction you want to head afterwards. Perfect for moving to VaPers, but anything else too. Well back to the...

    Learning to Smoke Plug Tobacco

I'd never smoked a plug but saw Pease Jack Knife so picked it up. Knowing Pease tobacco and reviews I put it away for a year. I used a razor blade, crosscut thin slices then long cube cuts. I did use a small bowl mainly because I figured it would be a long smoke and probably get hot and swell. I...
