My first Attempt at a Freehand Pipe ..

I’m not going to smoke it. Honestly, I have too many pipes and too many in my rotation already. I added the last pipe I made to my rotation. I’m in the middle of making a stamp and I’ll probably sell it. I’ve had requests… I’ve no idea how to price it…. I price pipes all day long, but not...

My first Attempt at a Freehand Pipe ..

I am going to. I’m doing some vids for restoration how-to, this week and Mr Brog actually sent me a couple hobby blocks for free.. so I’ll be doing a video on that and giving that one away, and at least pics or more for the next one. I bought a goose neck style tripod for ease of use. I can...

My first Attempt at a Freehand Pipe ..

Thanks. I wish the contrast stain was more even. It wanted to really soak in at certain points as blotches. I kept sanding more and more until it was going to change the shape. Unsure how to correct that in the future…. I didn’t know this was called a double plateau and wasn’t sure on size...

Show Us Your American Made Pipes

Well, I’ve got a closet full of American pipes but this one is going into my rotation. It’s quite small and the perfect pocket pipe for me. A Kaywoodie 94B Flame grain. I sanded it back a bit, threw on some saddle tan stain and polished up the stem. Not a tough resto but loving the pipe now...

My first Attempt at a Freehand Pipe ..

I do, buried somewhere. I used it as a prop to hold up other pipes I restored for pics. I’ll search later. It’s 5am. I’ve got to sleep I think.

My first Attempt at a Freehand Pipe ..

I’ve made a few pre drilled and a couple I drilled. I tried a new shape with each one. The first I did a month into the hobby and the one every 3 months or so. I’ve done a Bent Billiard, Dublin, Bent Egg, Poker, Billiard, a bent Brandy Cherrywood. Being new I didn’t know shapes to well so I...

My first Attempt at a Freehand Pipe ..

Thanks for the replies guys. I’ve learned so much from this forum. This piece of briar had zero flaws or pits too! It sat on my cabinet for 6 months before I got the nerve to try cutting it. Was such a nice thing to not deal with pits or issues. I started a morta and right after most of...

My first Attempt at a Freehand Pipe ..

I used almost entirely a Dremel and sandpaper for shaping. No files this time. Made some mistakes and just didn’t think of things like being able to get the wheel into the space between… :) found work around etc. Lol. Learning about burl, removing bark and so on. stem blank. I didn’t...

Do You Have a Lakeland Pipe?

Yup. I do now… but given my work I’m never in a shortage of pipes. I have a smaller bowl one and a full bend one with nice size bowl for walks or work but I had that for most genres. Lakeland you definitely want one. A cob isn’t a. Bad way to go at all. Especially if you throw a forever...

Best Summer Time Smoke Drink Combination

For me it’s always coffee in the morning, iced coffee in the summer or the always perfect diet Dr. Pepper or regular if you’re into that kind of stuff. :). It’s funny whenever I post a pic of a pipe and there’s a dr Pepper in the pic, someone always comments they didn’t know others did that. I...
