    C&D Opening Night tobacco, which has become my opening night tradition when I open a show. Directed Henry V with my university students and we opened tonight. I also play Captain Fluellen (complete with outrageous Welsh accent) and the Duke of Bedford.

    Filtered Pipes

    I've occasionally used Medico filters in a Medico or Grabow and noticed no tightness added to the draw. But I've always removed filter and adapter from Savinelli pipes and noticed no issues, the draw is perfect without both. The only filter I always use would be a Brigham rock maple filter.

    Sail Regular in a Crown Jewels Sandblasted Billiard. I took advantage of the P and C pouch sail and bought 4 codger blends I'd yet to have. I tried three Borkum Riff blends and they are as solidly average as I thought they'd be. Some nice top notes, and the taste of ash. The Sail is tasty, though.

    Miskatonic Mixture in a Kaywoodie Red Root full bent pear/acorn. I'm amazed at how sturdy the Red Root pipes feel. Feels much nicer than a 40 dollar pipe. Watching Scream 4 with the wife.

    Had some Newminster Superior Navy Flake in my Morgan Bones Seafarer today, and then some Lane MV-1000 with a dash of leftover MM Great Dane and Capt Black Royal from my car console in my Crown Garden Red Oom Paul. That's my default car pipe that lives in my console.
