    I dont smoke estate pipes. It's not about the cleanliness, but the idea of creating all the dings and scratches and stories myself. I have never bought a pipe in person. Only ever online. So Im an impulse shopper. It took me about 12 years to figure out what pipes work best for me.

    I used to get 3 to 5 smokes out of a balsa filter. I would flip mine after a around after a few to extend the life.

    I dont touch fresh tobacco usually. If it hasn't dried for an hour, its probably too wet for me.

    I hated the idea of a plip in the beginning. Then when I got one I never thought I'd get used to it. Now I dont want anything else. Fishtail stems now feel like they are going to fall out of my teeth.

    The 314 is perfect for me. I wouldn't want the smaller 317 . But im looking at a 313 that might bring me up in size a bit.

    I get what you mean. I struggled with the pipe untill discovering Carter Hall. It was the first blend that I could smoke with no issues. I give Carter Hall all the credit for me becoming an actual pipe smoker. Now a days I dont touch the stuff. U.S or foreign versions. I have many tubs still...

    So you dont like the rounding then? I almost want to put my smooth rounded acrylic plip stem into my silver spigot, but the draw is off then haha.
