I envy you!
My paternal grandmother's maternal grandfather's paternal grandmother was the daughter of the great-great-great-great grandson of Arthur Johnston, the Scottish poet who served as personal physician to James VI and Charles I.
I've thought of applying for membership in Clan Johnston...
If we want to go for something straightforward, I suppose that we might just be The Northeast Wisconsin Pipe Club.
If we want to go for something more colorful, we might play on our being "The Badger State." Google gives me the following badger terminology:
So, I don't know, maybe something...
I have an 8 oz. box en route to me. Actually to a friend in IL due to WI's new excise theftuousness. I plan to get it from him shortly after Easter. Very much looking forward to it -- seems right up my alley.
Mine was labeled "The Offscouring of All Things" (an obscure reference to one of those colorful renderings in the KJV that I miss in more recent translations of Scripture).
I never smoked out of it.
This past Fall a friend was over the house and wanted to get into pipe smoking; so...
Although I must decline to ring your cherries, I can offer an answer to your question: Boswell's Countryside.
I too am a somewhat seasonal smoker, smoking more latakia in the winter than the summer (although, I'm also a situational smoker, and feel that latakia suits a summer campfire). In any...
And yet the air filtration there seems top notch: As one who doesn't prefer cigar leaf, I recall that the scent of cigar was very faint and did not taint my enjoyment of the pipe tobaccos I smoked.
(Postscript: I just noticed that in a previous note I said "allusion" where I meant "illusion.")
I was just trying to remember when that was, and came across this old thread from October of 2021:

Featuring a pipe I got off you (that I continue to enjoy very much!).
So it looks like it's been about 3.5 years!
I haven't had Night Train but am aware that it's a Va/Per/Bur. I usually avoid burley, but a couple Va/Per/Burs that I've tried include Hal O' the Wynd and Windjammer. Neither are my preference due to the burley component, but they're much-loved by many and may be up your alley?
A couple others...
The one I used to attend in PA was hosted by Cigars International and much more formalized -- you could just attend the talk, try the tobaccos they offered that time, and get out without interacting with others if you wanted.
Honestly not a great format (although the talks were often...
That's what a I figure with Cannon -- its base is Best Brown. And since Best Brown is a favorite, then anything between 0% and 100% topping is fine with me.
I share with you, and with many others, this posture towards the pipe. If some others take it as little more than a nicotine delivery system, that is well for them. For my part, the pipe is like a cup of tea with which to relax when the day's work is done -- and like tea, there is some ceremony...
Corned beef and cabbage, and my wife's amazing soda bread, every year.
Usually some Guiness.... and Powers or Tully... and Saint Brendan's Irish Cream.
Then in Evening Prayer / Family Worship I read to the kids selections from Patrick's Confessio, and we sing his Breastplate hymn.
Finally...
I want to order an 8 oz. box of Cannon Plug...
(iykyk)
...but, living under The Badger State's new 71% excise tax, I'd like to order it to a friend's address in another state -- a friend whom I hope to see in about 6 weeks.
I assume that the boxed Gawiths must sit in that condition for...
I also haven't been sure who's made Iwan Ries shop pipes. I was there on a work trip back in, oh, I don't know, maybe 2011 or so? I picked up an inexpensive, un-branded churchwarden that I love, but I've never known who made it.
I have prayed for her soul, and for you.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory. May light perpetual shine upon her. May her memory with God be eternal.
