Tonquin Bean
I was thinking of ordering som of Sam Gawith's Westmoreland Mixture.Looks to be a nice Latakia blend but I am curious,it seems to be flavoured with Tonquin Beans, I have never heard of them.Can anyone enlighten as to what they are and what the flavour is. Tom- morlader

Firedance Flake
I opened a tin of Sam Gawiths Firedance flake today and to me it seems very "in yer face" fruit.It purportes to be fine virginias,blackberries,brandy and vanilla.The fruit taste seems to linger long after the smoke.Have any of you tried this blend,I would be interested in your comments.I am not...- morlader

Further to cleaning vulcanite

Breaking in new pipe
I wonder if anyone has a favourite way of breaking in a new pipe.If it is a briar I like to put a very thin smear of honey inside the bowl for the first fill.Only briars,Cobs and clays baccy straight in as with meers.It would be interesting to hear of any other preferences- morlader
