Luxury Bullseye Flake over the years

I never really cared much for LNF, but LTF was ok, since it was something completely different.

Luxury Bullseye Flake over the years

It's been unseasonably warm lately, so I have been clinging to my VAs a little longer than usual this year. I have been sampling various aged LBFs over the past few weeks. I was put off by this blend back when I first started smoking pipe tobacco. The top note didn't do anything for me. As...

I enjoy Blairgowrie. I haven't tried the others.

    The Most Disappointing Tobacco

It was harsh for me. I heard it was comparable to Quite Nights, and it just didn't work for me. I find it interesting in how everyone has their our flavor nuances, as I do smoke a good amount of Quiet Nights.

    Best GLP Virginia blend?

Montgomery, Sixpence, Telegraph Hill, and Filmore are my favorites so far. I still need to pick up I haven't tried yet.

    How Many In Your Rotation...

I have about 30 or so VA blends and about 15 English blends going at any given time.

    Tobacco Rotation.

I'm usually smoking 20ish VA blends and 12 or so Balkin?latakia blends at any given time

    Small vs. Wide/Big bowl

As the number of tobacco varieties in a blend increases, so does the width of my pipe. My widest Latakia pipe is wider than my widest VA/x pipe.

    Favorite GLP

There are roughly 20 in-production GLP blends that do not have Latakia in them. You might find some hidden gems!

    Favorite GLP

Filmore is an underrated VA/Per. I really enjoy quiet nights after about 2 years. It rounds off and gets this natural sweetness. Montgomery is another blend I find interesting. Admittedly, I still have a lot of the GLP English blends to try.

    Tobacco Rotation?

That would be exactly like my average day!

How Often does Your Favorite Tobacco Change?

I usually go back and forth about 2 specific blends. Cut blend plug vs Cut Viriginia plug and Gold vs Blue Capstan. Both are great examples of me going back and forth.

    Ashy Taste

Man I feel like I have abused my pipes. Ive had most of them for 6 years, I deep clean them with alcohol once a year and thats it, well, other than cleaning with pipe cleaners after every use.

    Tobacco Rotation?

I group tobacco together, then rotate the jars as I smoke them so I am always smoking something different to scratch and itch. Examples: Easy morning smoking pile: Wessex Gold Slice Opening night Capstan Yellow CVP LTF Mid morning smokes: Capstan blue CBP Peterson flake LA Luxury/Classic flake

English blends with Dark fired Kentucky.

You should check out Chonowitsch T17, its technically a Scottish blend, but I think it will scratch the itch of what you are looking for.
