Fuzzy Weight Math: Orlik Golden Sliced

Are the flake thicknesses the same?

    Sam Gawith Black Forest

I like Black Forest but it’s not a lakeland. If you want a starter lakeland I’d recommend Ennerdale (evil sinister laugh)

Samuel Gawith Black Forest Tin Rust from P&C

If it “pffffffffft”-ed when you opened it the seal was fine. If the top came off easily the vacuum had been lost.

    LNF vs LBF

I find LNF to need a lot more aging than LBF.

    Empty Jar

I very much like Plum Pudding but I do prefer Miss River. I sometimes get a slight metallic flavor with PP.

Just tried C&D Crooner and Big n' Burley

Two Friends Redwood. I can't take most of those C&D burley blends anymore; too harsh on my wuss throat. But Redwood works for me. Had some just his AM in fact.

Where To Sell; That Is The Question

You don't have to get screwed with eBay. You can choose to list them at a fixed price until they sell. Might take a while but you'll get what you want for them. I think they're running a 50% off sellers fees at the moment.

    Dunhill tins-cellar or smoke?

I doubt the Dunhill blends made by STG (post 2007...?) are going to ever be worth a lot of dough, if that’s why you’re hesitant about opening. There will be several equivalents available soon, some already available.

What Do You Have In Your (Whiskey) Cellar?

    Bourbon’s better anyways

Best prices I've seen on them. https://www.pipesandcigars.com/shop/peterson-naughty-nice-sale/2017927/

    Bengal Slices

I don't know of another English blend with anise but have you tried the G&H licorice flakes?

    OGS $3

They had a number of 'fancy-pants' tins on sale for $4 a week or two ago (all OOS now). I wonder if they are getting out of the pipe business.

can anybody help me identify this pipe?

    Super cool!

Looking For Similar to SPC Plum Pudding SR

Bengal Slices is a spiced version of PP. Might scratch your itch.

Smoking In The Cold And Snow Hints?

The hardest thing for me about smoking outside in the winter is getting the tobacco lit. A pipe Zippo works well in the wind. Bics and matches, not so much. And I only take out the cobs below 20 degrees.
