Could have just been a difference in the grain. Soft grain absorbs more than hard grain, so if one has more soft grain than the other, maybe it absorbed more fluid than the other? Anyways, glad it all worked out for you!- carolinachurchwarden

Maybe sticking them both in the freezer? I've done that to remove a stem from a pipe when stuck, but never had to try to put the stem back in. Just a thought.- carolinachurchwarden
