Firebird Flake Release Must Be A Success

For real. Who buys ten tins of a blend they've never had before. FOMO greed IMO.

Is the New Peterson Foursquare (444) a Permanent Shape?

Yeah, I'm normally cool with a p-lip, but not on a Foursquare.

Is the New Peterson Foursquare (444) a Permanent Shape?

Thanks for the info! Yeah, I really like the shape and it would be nice to have a couple sturdy Foursquares other than my Merchant Service. Looks like they only had four styles at SP: Donegal Rocky, Harp Sandblast, Harp Smooth, and Dracula Sandblast. Probably had Dracula Smooth, too, but...

Is the New Peterson Foursquare (444) a Permanent Shape?

SmokingPipes have a selection of a "new" shape by Peterson, the 444 Foursquare (shown below). According to Peterson Pipe Notes, this shape has only been seen in the 1937 catalog (Peterson 400 shape group – Peterson Pipe Notes - https://petersonpipenotes.org/tag/peterson-400-shape-group/) so I'm...

    Show-Off Your Stanwell Pipes Here!

Who Else is Addicted to Algerian Briar?

I have a handful of old Mastercraft pipes that are Algerian briar, many of them labeled "handcrafted" with interesting carvings around the bowl. They all smoke very well, but not sure I detect a difference from any other nice briar I have.

Peterson St. Patrick's Day Pipes 2025

Man, I'd love if they brought back the B47/57 Dublin shapes. Nice chonky pipes with a good sized bowl.

Are we Really Losing That Much With the Closures of Mac Baren and Sutliff?

I won't miss anything MacB related--especially since the only one I smoke isn't going anywhere--but I dig Hearth and Home stuff. I got a pound each of the White Knight/Black House bulk versions, as well as a pound of Sutliff RC-272 (a weird aromatic that I like and that I rarely see talked...
