Had to throw away an unopened 12 yr old tin

Well, in that case, at least I’d be remembered for something ?

    Tobacco still good??

Everyone was an unknown seller at some point, though, so the only way to get reputable is to list them for sale.

Had to throw away an unopened 12 yr old tin

No, im not smoking it with the stuff that it had on it and the fact it was absolute bone dry. The McC I will try once I rehydrate it. Like I said, all of these have been in a conditioned environment without temperature swings. To have 2 pop like that is just concerning given the age of them. I...

Do You Like Latakia in the Winter and Virginia in the Summer? G.L. Pease Discusses for Aug 22 Column

Like one of the other posters, I too will reach for English blends more often when the weather gets a little cooler, but I just cant do English blends in the summer. Dont know if it is the brutal heat and humidity of the deep south, but I find Latakia really only shines for me on cool autumn...

    Orientals Anyone?

For me, my favorite Oriental of all time, and will probably will remain so, was McClelland Classic Samsun. The tin note always reminded me of the spice cabinet at my grandmothers as a child and the flavor was exceptional. Was not one I would always be drawn to, but that blend still ranks as...

    20% off Warped offerings

After I saw the notification to this thread, I decided to grab more. My luck is always getting something I like, not buying more when I can, and then when I do decide to stock up "poof" it is either out of stock, discontinued, or the blend changes. To the cellar these will go.

Had to throw away an unopened 12 yr old tin

What is the overall opinion on opening some of these older tins and then transferring to jars? I still have a decent amount of McClelland blends and other blends that have been discontinued and did not know if opening and transferring would mess with the aging process such as stunting it or...

Jim's C&D Sun Bear Mountain Flower Review.

I never had the pleasure of trying the other versions, but I can say I am happy to have grabbed a few of these. You definitely get the oriental in this and I feel like its just a spot on good VA blend. I honestly would have never guessed there was any honey, but that doesnt make it a bad blend...

Had to throw away an unopened 12 yr old tin

This - in all honesty, if you arent planning on trying to flip a tin down the road for a quick $, just open them and transfer to a mason jar. I shouldve done this with the blends I know I love and will smoke. Now, some that are 5 years plus - I dont want to open and risk interrupting the aging...

Had to throw away an unopened 12 yr old tin

It has probably been a year or 2 since I took count of my cellar and tonight I decided to do so. All of my tobacco tins are stored in an environmentally controlled area, inside a large rubbermaid container so no light gets in and it stays neat enough and hidden the wife doesn't see it. House...

    20% off Warped offerings

The Red Hunt has probably been my favorite "New to Me" tobacco of 2022. I do not venture out of my comfort zone often, but I will be buying more to cellar. The others didnt move the needle much, but if you want a little bit sweeter Va/Per blend, you need to try Red Hunt. Its an absolute pleasure...

    My First Jacono

Decided to break this in with a good Va/Per and it has an excellent draw and no gurgle so I’m happy with it. I know it’s hard to go wrong with a good Italian pipe, and this is no exception.

    My First Jacono

I’ve looked at Jacono pipes for the last few years and never pulled the trigger until now. For some reason, I always forgot to check their lineup when I was in the market. I couldn’t resist this beauty. It’s a Bishop (E) grade and can’t wait to break it in.

Sun Bear - Mountain Flower, Aug 2

You know that TLC hasn't had anything to do with learning in about 15 years, and Discovery only cares about aliens and ghosts. You may could sway Discovery if you included C&D Haunted Bookshop.

Sun Bear - Mountain Flower, Aug 2

SP still had some available at around 8am EST too but not sure when it sold out. Seems like other sites that had a smaller allocation sold out pretty quickly once SP site failed.

Sun Bear - Mountain Flower, Aug 2

Luckily, insomnia paid off for once. Was able to grab several for the cellar. I still find it strange that it is a 12am release time. I mean, that made sense to me as a teenager going to GameStop for video game release parties, but for tobacco??? Also, if SP is going to do these releases...

First Time Using a Safety Razor

In all honesty I find it so much easier to trim up the hairline and side burns with a single blade versus a multi-blade with a lubricating strip. One thing I hated when trimming up my beard was getting the neckline right using a multi-blade razor - damn strip just got in the way of the blades...

First Time Using a Safety Razor

Yeah, The video I watched, the guy said not to go back over places if you don’t have leather on it. Reapply as needed for touch ups. I also invested in a good pre-shave oil and also in a non-alcohol based aftershave lotion. Got huge approval from the wife also. It is still so strange to me that...
