    I have a couple of Peterson filtered system pipes and they are great. I only use 9mm charcoal filters and I do not notice the system being much better than my other filter pipes but I enjoy them very much.

    Everything is a risk. That being said, I use 9mm charcoal filters. My reason was mainly because I enjoy the smoke so much more.

    Usually a cigar at golf. Not a huge fan of golf but play for work. I feel to pressured for time when playing golf so I do not smoke the pipe.

    Drying Before Smoking

    Depends on the moisture level. Typically I let it rest on a plate/towel or leather tray for a couple of minutes. Does not take long. 5 min max.

    I agree. I struggle with the same issues and the main reason I smoke a pipe is the relaxing effects. Similar to meditation for me.

    I downsized quite a bit to become more of a minimalist. Whatever is left will go to my son. I set him up with a nice Peterson Sigot and he loves it.

    I am a wet smoker and the balsa gets soaked. I use the carbon filters for the driest smoke.

    I have gravitated over the years to prefer 9mm filter pipes. I understand that I am in the minority but I have tested both extensively. Anyone else here enjoy filter pipes and if so, what is your favorite. I have a meerchaum and Vauen that are my current favorites.
