    I just eyeballed pouring some in a mason jar in my basement, then poured in 99% iso until I thought it was light enough. Then used the dauber from the bottle. I slapped some on holding it with pliers. Then over a aluminum pan with a lighter giving me a fine light blue flame.

    And no wood stains ever came off? 🤔 That's what I thought coatings were supposed to keep on. Maybe the industrial scale pipe making is different. I certainly know I needed my shellac when I rusticated stained a pipe with leather dyes.
