A government agency once tested it's recruits with the square hole test. 50% passed. They concluded that 50% of the recruits were morons and the rest were just really strong.

I’m pretty sure the Capt was trying to sleep with that guy’s old lady.

Infidel.Ever seen eight(ish) year old boys messing with an anthill? Magnifying glass, rubber bands, drips of dish soap, and so on.
Imma gonna guess a star-travel-capable civilization's equivalent juvenile behavior is brewing up creatures like the ones in that YouTube vid and turning them loose on random planets just to watch the fun.
(After all, we KNOW they found Earth because of the pyramids, crop circles, abductions, and Mysterious Lights in the Sky, right? Hell, there's so much evidence an actual museum was built in Roswell, NM to hold it all.)

But very few countries outside of Africa have to lock up albino people so others dont use their bones as medicine. Very few countries go beyond praying for good health.Countries and their borders are a colonial imposition on Africa. But in parts of Africa, the cultures that inhabit it have a strong belief in witchcraft and its effects. More developed countries also have their established magical beliefs, but we're just used to them.
I mean Westerners can absolutely get up to magick. There's a local shop near my house, that, as a geology student I would sometimes go to buy mineral samples, rocks, crystals. ALL kinds would show up in there, generally old ladies of all stripes. Occasionally middle aged women who let their elementary school kids smoke weed, looking to repell a hex or seek astrological meaning of their dreams.... That's more soft mid magick. There are dudes out there that do higher stuff. But very few countries outside of Africa have to lock up albino people so others dont use their bones as medicine. When I spent time in East Africa us white people could sell our hair, our fingernail clippings, or any other "body part" at the "medicine" shops.
Anything different or rare can be used as medicine.
In the West I've only seen prayer and an occasional burning of sage.
But again, they aren't murdering disabled people to grind their bones into medicine. Kinda not the same thing.I mean Westerners can absolutely get up to magick. My wifes friend owns a hippie crystal/incense shop. Her and her customers are the calmest and least dangerous people around.

Well, this is, in my humble opinion, an egregious loophole begging to be exploited to the Nth degree. This anti witchcraft law isn't a law against sorcerers.
Don't worry, your First Amendment right to utter spells is safe. Casting them, however, can lead to assault charges.Well, this is, in my humble opinion, an egregious loophole begging to be exploited to the Nth degree.
I think I know what I'm doing for my next birthday! Or even better, as a way to get out of the next family obligation.
