I think it's the high pH in burley. If driven too hard the flavor can turn too aciditic and bitter. The dark cocoa, coffee, nutty notes are best when puffed slowly with a coffee if you drink it.
I've never had SWR, but I understand it's similar to Granger, which can be found in bigger tubs. Or try sutliff Ready Rubbed like @Piping Abe suggested.
Burley forward with a bit of cav and VA and a rum topping. It's quite good fresh, but is fantastic with 3 years or more age in my experience. The tobacco really starts to shine.
I agree with the above, burley is a great driving smoke. However, some burleys are complex and great for any occasion. That's why burley is the best, with virginia and oriental coming in a close second.
If I could never drink milk again, I would definitely substitute with oat milk, and I'd be perfectly happy.
I hate the almond vanilla stuff, but oat goes well with coffee indeed.
One of the reasons C&D has become my favorite blending house, their tobaccos are usually ready to smoke right away. I hate fussing about with drying my tobacco.
Man, I used to watch your videos all the time. You and Bremen got me into meers. I was wondering what happened to you, I'm glad to hear you're doing well and have found a smoking companion.
Briar fox in a Barling second bulldog. Half way through this tin, this blend has been officially upgraded to "buy it again" status.
Just a straight forward no nonsense blend. I recommend it.
