Best Pipe types for different Blend types

Sound advice and I appreciate it. I used a water based stain and sealer combo. Restore A Deck, it went on easily and didn’t smell to high heaven. Probably not as durable as a dedicated sealer but saved a step. Time will tell.- Steddy

Fall / Halloween 2025!
I’ll try to add something new. Pipe smoke can be evocative, certain blends remind me or bring up a sense of fall, dried leaves, the woods, etc. In that line of reasoning dark fired does the trick. GL Pease Cumberland. GL Pease Jack Knife Plug.- Steddy

Irish Flake new pipe smoker
I’ll add GL Pease Jack Knife Plug, but I prefer it with some age on it. I’ve smoked from a fresh tin and it was pretty sharp. I’ve smoked a tin with around ten years of age and it had deepened and mellowed a lot. Earthy, a little sweet, and strong.- Steddy

Any Love For Non-Bulldog Diamond Shanked Pipes ?
I do like them but I think I only have 1 that is not a bulldog. It’s a Becker I found at GatlinBurlier in Tennessee. I’m pretty sure it was made by the second Becker, a treasure of a find to me. -
