    Amsterdamer tobacco WTF?

Having been working over in Spain recently, took the opportunity to stock up on some of my favourite baccys, capstan flake & St. Bruno. Whilst in the tobacconist I noticed the dark blue pouch & a grinning pipesmoking Cossack on a pouch of 'amsterdamer'. Having not seen it before & costing only 3...

    Three Cheers For 4 Noggins!

Just like to give a shout out for the wonderful service from a first time customer. Even though as a U.k. Resident we have some of the best (& most expensive) brands available, I never thought I'd be able to sample any of the vast array of American blends. Thanks to members of this forum for...

    New old stock kiko meershaums

Whilst browsing the ebay came across a large range of new old stock kiko leather clad meershaums. All perfect in their original boxes & socks, only trouble is they are all meershaum lined. I have a kiko leather clad whole meershaum & love it. Of the few meershaums I have much prefer the african...

    Whiskey & pipe smoking.

I'm a man of simple pleasures, women,a nice deserving drink after a hard days graft, & a good smoke. I thought I had everything sussed! Then along came the Internet & a whole new wealth of information came before my eyes. Thanks to forums like this one I have gained knowledge from others. The...

Why I begrudge respect to the mighty condor, am I alone?

Ah the mighty condor, it seems you guys in the states have quite a following for her (as too the masses here in the UK). Let me explain the new founded hate towards this blend/brand of soap infested nicotine. For today I smoked my last bowl of gallahers rich dark honeydew. This blend was one of...

Winters here! So what's your favourite summer smoke?

As I was taking the dog for a walk on a miserable damp cold grey wet day, it became clear that winter was very much here, & here for a good few months to come. With my nose dripping, my teeth chattering & my balls shrinking with the cold apart from enjoying & smoking more of my Latakia blends...

London. New pipe, tobacco & chicken curry.

Went along last weekend to the other venue (the swan) of the london pipe club meet up.as much as I enjoyed my other visit at fox's tobacconist, much preferred my few hours at the swan. Lovely little village, one street, one shop & two pubs! Very important to have two just in case you get kicked...

    Europe pulling the plug?

No surprise really, whilst stocking up at my local I was told that warrior plug is being discontinued. Even though it's not my no 1 plug (revor is) it's a shame. Whilst a lot of smokers seem to be spending a lot of time & money looking for so called classics like Penzance the real deal old...

    Barcelona tobacconists?

Hello everyone, I'm going to barcelona next week working for a couple of days. Anybody been there recently? I remember a good one by the old cathedral, but that was a few years ago.

    Brandy flavoured tobaccos recommendations?

Here in England there's an abundance of whiskey & rum flavoured baccy, but as far as I know the only one with brandy is rattrays bagpipers dream. Very much liked it but just a bit too light for me. Any better/stronger ones recommended that I can get in the UK?

    Mix it up

Even our favourite brands seem to wane every now & then(well for me anyway),instead of getting a different brand altogether I spice it up with a mix or two. St.bruno flake/gold block is one of my favourites St. Bruno ready rubbed with highland sliced another, be interested to know what you guys...

I just got kicked in the head!......& I liked it!!

So I've been smoking pipes since I was 18/19 or so (I'm now 43) always ran with the stronger blends here in Britain flakes, twists & the like. My father & grandfather used to smoke copius amounts of condor & St. Bruno with those beloved yet diminished blends I sowed my oats so to speak,developing...
