    The issue I have hear is that it was black, it had the factory bowl coat on it and that’s gone, it didn’t start out as that color…so have I just burned the factory coat away?

    I’ve burned out one pipe. One of those tiny MM shortstops. I even smoked it after because I wasn’t aware until I put my finger on the bottom and realized the MM sticker was covering a hole in the bottom.

    Thanks, yeah. That bare wood color at the bottom. I didn’t know if it was burning through or just took off the bowl coat.

    Thank you for your help. I’ve seen the spot before but it usually appears a little darker, not so bright. That’s what concerned me.
