Indeed it is! I acquired a few clays to see what the hype is about. Testing out how well I like/tolerate canted pipes and small bowls. “Common whipping” the stem until I find a less soggy solution. 😁 (Started a thread with some clay questions here)- aspiring_sage

I hadn't considered a custom case. Not sure I'll go that route but it is the best option I can think of. For the short pipes, I think I can drop them into a pouch with flake and the flake might act as "packing material". I might try the silicon tape. Looks inexpensive and should solve my problems.- aspiring_sage

With some assistance from my pipe hating wife, I was able to bring the order down to a few clays of different shapes, and a couple to share on upcoming camp trips.
