Is It Really Necessary To Rotate Pipes? My Opinion!

This tired question... again? Few things could be simpler, guys. Just compute the reduced-snordly quotient of the tobacco's zelserborqe to necerok ratio --- Adjust the qwerdly skornzod to accommodate the pipe's mahorglagen index --- And dorfucate the helesion plathitude like this...

    A Perfect P-Lip Stem

That just means the molded stem was touched up / fine-tuned by hand, not that it was cut from rod stock. All Pete stems are molded. In fact, "correct in every detail" replicas literally can't be made entirely by hand for technical reasons.

    1930's Barling Tobacconist's Display Case

Easier and safer for your pipes would be to replace them with new ones (keeping the originals in a drawer, of course). A single screw is all that holds them on. Even Satchel could do it. One search found these white ones for a dollar each. Look a bit deeper and I'm sure black-coated ones...

    Mastercraft Back To Life

Looks good. 👍 I can only think of one "better" and one "differently"... The Better is fade the texture up to the edge of the band, to eliminate the smooth wood. And the Differently is G-Flex on the stem instead of CA. (G-Flex won't flake when used on rubber, but CA will)

    Ferndown of Unusual Size

"Should have" as in, you know one is in a box somewhere in a closet but you'd have to hunt to find it? Or, the copy I have should be in your hands if there was any justice in the PipeWorld? Cuz if it's B---you knew the article existed but haven't seen it in years---Hoover just meowed to me...

    Ferndown of Unusual Size

Yo, Doc --- I have your pipe's twin. :) Same size, same shape, same "look", same country of origin (Englandia). It was even used in a magazine advert 20 years ago:

    1930's Barling Tobacconist's Display Case

They are probably rubber coated metal springs, not solid rubber. Meaning, unless the rubber is crumbling/cracking OFF the metal, they're as good as new. (If they are solid rubber, definitely check their sproingy-ness & etc before using)

    1930's Barling Tobacconist's Display Case

The top quality materials and workmanship of everyday items Once Upon a Time is amazing. It's almost like people took pride in doing things to a high standard because they couldn't conceive of doing them any other way. Too bad you don't have any pipes to put in it, Jesse. Better get busy. puffy

Check Out What Doug Finlay is Cooking Up

A hybrid Briar Basher sort of thing. Pretty cool, I think. 👍 In process as I type ---

Old pipe. Could it be a Namiki?

I'm gonna guess it was a gift from some employees to their boss:

Modern Day British High End Pipe Makers, That Still Make Classical Style British Pipes?

Would you please stop paying attention to thread titles? It's really annoying.

    Cracked pipe

All morta is bog oak, but not all bog oak is morta. True morta comes from a well-defined specific area in France, and cannot be exported in raw form. Finished pipes made from it in French shops are durable and suitable as a pipe material. Bog oak can---and does---come from anywhere on Earth a...

    Pipe Makers Thread?

PS --- To search the PM forum in depth, ju jitsu it with Google, like so: site:pipemakersforum.com [your search terms] The reason is the history goes so far back that the board's internal search engine doesn't "see" it all.

    Pipe Makers Thread?

Not a board within this forum, but a separate place entirely: https://www.pipemakersforum.com/forum/ It's stagnant these days, but was the Net's best info-in-one-place for pipemaking for 20 years. Still a great reference.

Down Below Isn't Bad Enough for Some People

Certain types of behavior require being dealt with Spanish Inquisition style. Enhanced and prolonged with modern medical techniques between visits to the Inquisitor, of course. Livestreamed would be appropriate, too.

Indeed. Unlike some things (medications, firearms, explosive materials, etc.) anyone can buy a computer. rotf

    Gawith flavor

But what if the German company doesn't do it to your satisfaction either? You need to get on a plane, go to Kendal, and show them how it's done. No messing about. Read 'em the riot act at every opportunity---every step they do wrong---and fire anyone who so much as raises their hand or...

    Who's Still Enjoying Churchwardens?

Not this one. (Not a bad idea, though)
