Insulating qualities of bowl material
Not near as important as the smoker's handling of the tobacco and smoking technique. Briar, meer and cobs have all proven their worth as smoking pipes. Why not just learn to load a proper blend and smoke? No need to over-think a relatively simple process, load, light and go. Hard to improve...- warren

Smoking, Grilling, and BBQ
Poke 'em with a fork a couple of times, roll them in bacon fat then coarse salt, been posting that recipe for a few years here when it seems time. Best potatoes ever! Skin is crispy, salt explodes in the mouth and the meat is soft, flavorful. I iterate, Best baked potato ever. Oh, never...- warren

Cooking Bacon

Cooking Bacon
I've had rashers in Canada, England and the Irish Republic. It's all in what you order. "Back" bacon or rashers, there's usually a choice especially in tourists center. American bacon is the smokiest but, English bacon is smoked a bit. Canadian bacon is strictly "back" bacon and never smoked.- warren
