I Paid Too Much for a Pipe... On Purpose!

I’ve tasted the sweet cinnamon flavor on an ancient Ropp stummel. I assume it was Algerian briar. It was a far different experience than any other pipe I’ve broke in, and remains one of the coolest driest smoking briars I got. If I knew this was fact I’d only buy Algerian, too many...

How Long to Smoke a Bowl?

Well this thread has taken me by surprise, I guess I didn’t realize I was that slow of a smoker. I have yet to find a pipe small enough to get a smoke in under an hour, we’re talking cobs, Basics, Ropps. Even in the Eltang with Five Bros that’s an hour smoke for me. Standard .75 x 1.5 chamber...

    Bulk Drying Tin Tobacco

I had a pinch of brown sugar flake I left in a tin in the garage from 2 years ago, I opened it yesterday and crumbled it into a ball to detect if there was any moisture left, well there was, it stayed tightly wound, and could still use some dry time if it was enough for a bowl pack. That’s just...

Seeking Assistance in Selecting a Free-Standing Poker.

Cool deal. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the bigger chambers on the darker rusticated ones. You have to go through them individually to find the biggest one. For instance here.. this one I found the chamber to be the biggest example at .75”x1.65” . Some of the lighter smooths...

Never mind I see know you are referring to the “Dublin sitter” which I’m not familiar with so you could be correct there.

I have three basics and never once have they tipped over, so you most definitely got a weird one. I take mine to work where obstacles are aplenty. Also worth noting the black ones usually fit the biggest chamber at .75x1.5”

Recommendations for a pipe $200 budget

Nuttens bing for $200-250. An absolute Virginia smoking machine, can’t believe how sweet mine smokes. Very comfortable pipe too.

    Cigar TAD 2025

Yea I had literally one tiny spot left after I emptied a box of nesticos out of my storage. These are nice it’s been a year since I’ve smoked one but they are stronger, more cedar and age better/longer. oh man wish I’d known about that cutter that’s killer !

    Cigar TAD 2025

Did you get a box or 5150 CHC . Hopefully you got some good ones, I’ve had some that were unreal and tasted like straight up snickers bars and others that just weren’t doing that at all, but that size has proven the best.

    Cigar TAD 2025

Here’s a 2021 box I scored for just $144 and now I’m kickin myself for not giving @BenMN a heads up or getting two boxes. I was a bit unsure myself as there were no photos on the site, but I took the chance.

What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2025

These sadly go nowhere for me either outside of the tiny baby nestico vitola which I adore.

Review of GH Rum Twist - From Greatness To Mediocrity

Also Burnt Ends last time I checked were being sold for $9 less per box than that of the flake, and I do find them tastier.

what is the best bulk straight virginia?

Oh there’s a ton of topping, you could call it Newminster Caramel Apple Struedel

what is the best bulk straight virginia?

Newminster 400 might be the last straight VA that comes to mind when thinking of a flake “with no top note”. 507c is pretty loud too. I don’t think anybodies mentioned Kendal Gold, if you sip it just right it’s great stuff.

Review of GH Coniston Cut Plug – A Tale of Betrayal

My old lady hasn't relied solely upon her own merit to achieve master cook in my kitchen. If it wasn’t for my super taster abilities and knives edge honest critique neither of us know where she would be right now.

Review of GH Coniston Cut Plug – A Tale of Betrayal

Well OP, that was very well written and vividly disenchanting, and I’m a bit of a masochist that’s wondering if you could summon up something else similar for other favorite blends of mine.
