Did You Start with a Pipe or Something Else?
Dad was a 2 pack a day Old Gold smoker so I tried cigarettes but never really took to it. Would smoke the occasional cigar.....maybe 2-3 a year. In June just tried a pipe for the first time and have been hooked ever since....smoke about 3 bowls a day probably soon to be more- prairiedruid

stinking cobs...
Moisture might be your problem. If you don't do a good job with a pipe cleaner after smoking moisture can definitely soak into the stem and bowl......it's a corn cob after all so easy for it to get musty if left warm and wet after a smoke. I now try to rest my cobs and only smoke each one...- prairiedruid
