    Oh for Pipe's Sake...

Sensitivity is not an issue with me, Dino. 20 years in military aviation has left me with a rather thick skin. I would like to point out that one major point has been either missed or altogether overlooked, likely because of my writing style. However, my post points no fingers; it only asks...

    Oh for Pipe's Sake...

my point exactly Papipe :puffpipe: Per Merriam-Webster: Definition of HIPSTER : a person who is unusually aware of and interested in new and unconventional patterns (as in jazz or fashion)

    Oh for Pipe's Sake...

That's obvious, for sure...which is why I like this forum. But it's still a problem that should be mentioned and mulled over by the community. It is worth noting that not all members on this forum are guilty of marginalization. Nevertheless, the members are indeed the audience intended...

    Oh for Pipe's Sake...

How often do we hear distaste for—or marginalization of—hipsters? The hipster community is obviously a boon for the pipe and tobacco industries...based on how many of them enjoy pipes. And honestly, there are far worse spokesmen for the hobby. It is doubtful that many of us would openly welcome...

    Jim's McClelland 40th Anniversary Review.

When and When NOT to "Do It Yourself" (a cautionary tale)

:o even I draw the line at Dunhill, especially since a new "entry-level" Dunhill costs more than double my Santambrogio "water bong". (I swear it had to be a seconds reject) But a vintage, Brit Bulldog...NOoooo! :crying:

    poorly drilled...repair?

Well, I'll be damned. Yaddy, your recommendation works like a champ! Thank you! And thanks everyone for helping out :D

    poorly drilled...repair?

Well, guys, I tried what you said and still couldn't get either tapered cleaners or standards through it. I have to take it apart first :| It's a shame. Despite it's flaws, it's my most comfortable smoker. I'll keep searching for a way to open up the shank where it meets the tenon.

    poorly drilled...repair?

I'm going to assume this is a rhetorical question, but thought i should ask anyway. Is it possible to repair a poorly misdrilled pipe? It's a full-bent (Rhodesian?) Santambrogio, and the draft is so poorly aligned that I can't even get a cleaner all the way through the shank to soak up the...

    New here; first questions

Thanks guys for all the wisdom and welcome! Yesterday I installed the filter-less adapter on my VA pipe and smoked a bowl of G-H & Co. Scotch Flake. That one will now be filter-less and the Scotch Flake is right up my alley. Now for my English Blend pipe :puffpipe:

Thank you both for the welcome. And thank you for the information.

    New here; first questions

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum, but have been a casual piper for about four years. Recently, I have taken it up quite often and enjoy it greatly. I recently started using a Savinelli 315 KS, which came with 6mm balsa filters. For those who might have experience with them, may I ask a...
