    For me several Pease blends, particularly Quiet Nights and Maltese Falcon, had a chemical note and/or not blended flavors upon opening and smoking. Opening the tin and shelving it a few weeks to a month significantly melded the flavors and produced wonderful smokes.

    Like has been said... Latakia blends in one, non-Latakia and preferably non-Aromatics in another. If Escudo ghosted to your tastes then two pipes just likely won't do. Perhaps add cobs or more deep cleaning after each smoke.
