    Social or Anti-Social Pipe Smoker?

I can't imagine wanting to smoke much of anything in a social setting. It's really a solitary thing on the back porch kinda thing for me.

Show Off Your Meerschaum Pipes Here!

Alas, I have already started. I cannot decide if I want something simple or a giant gaudy thing. The price difference is not as big as it should be, really, unless it is far easier to hand carve a pipe than I think it is.

    Sour Taste

There is a lot of great advice on this thread. I have become a bit maniacal in my cleaning habits lately, doing a minimal clean of the bowl and stem as I finish smoking, then a pretty thorough cleaning with pipe cleaners and q-tips the next day. I catch any char on the top of the bowl at this...

    Dinner Tonight

A hearty minestrone here, which would have seemed less weird had it not been 90 degrees outside.

Pipe Smokers Who have Settled on a Few Standbys

I've got about 8 or 10 tobaccos in the rotation, with another 25 or so in the "occasional" pile. But honestly, ifI were only able to get the top 3 or 4 for the rest of my days I would be happy enough.

    Beautiful Pipe Stand

I've been looking for an excuse to get to Kazakhstan for 10 years now. Now I want to come even more. What kind of tobaccos do you have access tot here?

    That Blend That Changed Everything

I was smoking every Virginia I could get my hands on. They were good, and even great tobaccos. I loved that smell of raisins that I got in Old Gowrie and Haddo's Delight, and the ketchup from the McClelland blends I had. I spent a lot of time on a cigar bbs at the time, and some of the guys...

    From Cigarette to Pipe

I quit cigarettes (once) by smoking cigars. It can be done, it's just very, very difficult. I am 6 years or so from my last cigarette. I can tell you that I love both pipes and cigars. But god, there are days all I can think about are cigarettes.

    My Current Collection ?

The McC Grand Orientals are great. I have a fair amount of 5100, which has been my go-to whenever I am in the mood for a Virginia. I have a few tins of Frog Morton things, but I have never tried any of the Fro products. I had just bought a bit thinking I would see what I thought before buying...

    My Current Collection ?

Getting ready to sell the along with some other rarities. I really want to be well-stocked more than I want to hang on to the things I have.

    My Current Collection ?

I wish I had bought more of the Grand Orientals, but McC went out of business at the same time I was living like a gypsy and all my pipes and tobaccos were boxed up in storage.
